Spent the day listening to some of the Shoemoney podcasts. I think I mentioned that I downloaded a lot of them ages back — years actually with some of them — but I never had the chance to listen to all of them at the time. Today was the day to fill in some of those blanks. If you haven’t had the chance to listen to them then I would strongly advise for you to go and do that now. I’m not sure if they’re still up there at Shoemoney.com (where I originally got them) but I would think that if they’re not there then you might find them on the iTunes Store or maybe at Webmaster Radio?
I also took the opportunity to do some “non-Shoemoney System” stuff and work on one of my already existing websites. I managed to write around 10 or 12 short articles that I could set up to drip feed (through scheduling it on my WordPress equipped site) every two or three days and, along with the other articles I wrote for the same site the other day, it’ll basically update from now until sometime in the middle of April. Sweet!
I used to just write a whole bunch of articles and then post them immediately to whatever site I was working on — which gave me a whole lot of content at once, but wasn’t very “sustaining” at all. I will still do that when I’m launching a site of course, After all it’s no good launching an information type site with no articles or information on it at all, is there? Seems rather pointless I think. I am amazed though at just how quickly a site running WordPress gets indexed by Google. That’s why I now set my privacy level to block the search engines when I’m working on launching a new site.
Many people like to see sites being updated constantly so that’s basically what I try to do now — when I’m able to at least. Still, having said that, one of my main moneymaking sites has only been updated once in the past two and a half years! I really need to get back to it and do some more stuff!
I’m still undecided on whether I with use my existing sites with the Shoemoney System. As I’ve mentioned earlier they really are quite specialized and not the sort of thing that most people would be interested in. They don’t bring in a lot of money as such but I do like working on them and other people do benefit by visiting them. I think though that for the Shoemoney System I will branch out and do some sites with broader appeal.
OK, back to it. Until tomorrow…
p.s. Just realized that today was the end of Week One!
